In the process of use, a small amount of leakage of packing is allowed at the beginning. After using it for some time and the packing is in a relatively stable state, adjust the packing gland. Do not press too tightly at the beginning to prevent the packing from burning out.
Carbon fiber braided packing is a new material with high strength and high modulus. It has the advantages of high strength, high modulus of elasticity, high-temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, good thermal conductivity, low coefficient of thermal expansion, and self-lubricating.
During the initial operation, the packing gland should be slightly tightened to allow a small amount of medium leakage. After running for some time, it should be gradually compacted to make the packing enter a relatively stable stage. Carbon fiber polytetrafluoroethylene braided packing (the-1), if leakage is found during operation, the packing gland can be tightened many times.
Phenolic fiber woven sealing filler has the advantages of high-temperature resistance, acid resistance, medium corrosion resistance, adsorption, good heat insulation performance, small friction coefficient, wear resistance, and no pollution to the human body and the environment, low price, and so on. It is mainly used for packing seals of high-pressure piston pumps, high-pressure water pumps, FRP acid resistant pumps, ammonia pumps, reciprocating pumps, and deep good pumps in oil fields. Applicable media: acid and alkali, organic solvents, engine oil, steam, water, etc.
Expanded graphite (flexible graphite) material, in addition to the excellent self-lubrication, corrosion resistance, high and low-temperature resistance, radiation resistance, wear resistance, low friction coefficient, and other characteristics of graphite itself also have the advantages of softness, low density, compression resilience and a wide range of service temperature. The applicable medium pH value is 0 ~ 14.
Except for aqua regia, concentrated nitric acid concentrated sulfuric acid, and dichromate at high temperature, which is not recommended to be used, other media can be used. Before installing the stuffing box, the packing ring shall be cut with a blade, and then it can only be twisted axially to a certain extent. It shall be sleeved on the shaft and pressed into the stuffing box. The notch of each circle shall be staggered by 900 or 1200. A small amount of leakage is allowed at the beginning of the operation, and the leakage will gradually decrease with the increase of time.
It has good thermal conductivity, conductivity, chemical stability, thermal shock resistance, self-lubrication, and processability. In the pump industry, it is used in centrifugal pumps, canned motor pumps, diesel distribution pumps, submersible pumps, clean water pumps, high-temperature hot oil pumps, nuclear secondary pumps, boiler feed pumps, air pumps, and other end seals, expansion ring seals, mechanical seal rings, axial seals, rotating discs and other occasions.
Natural rubber: it has excellent flexion resistance, good wear resistance, cold resistance and insulation, and high tear strength. Aging resistance, poor weather resistance, oil resistance, and solvent resistance are also poor. The rubber pump made of natural rubber is suitable for working under 78 ℃. It is suitable for conveying a variety of abrasive slag slurry and weak acid and weak alkali solutions, but it is not suitable for conveying strong acid, oil, aliphatic and aromatic solutions.
Nitrile rubber: it is the most widely used oil-resistant rubber variety at present. It has a series of superior properties. Its wear resistance is 30 ~ 45% higher than natural rubber, and its high-temperature resistance is better than natural rubber and styrene butadiene rubber. But the weather aging resistance of nitrile rubber is poor. The maximum operating temperature of the rubber pump made of nitrile rubber is 95 ℃. The rubber pump of this kind of rubber is resistant to all kinds of animal, vegetable oil, mineral oil, and glycol.
Butyl rubber: rubber-lined pump parts made of butyl rubber, suitable for acid mud work. The maximum use temperature is 100 ℃, which can resist strong acids and bases (such as hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide), but high concentrations of oxidizing strong acids (such as concentrated sulfuric acid and concentrated nitric acid) will degrade butyl rubber.
Fluororubber: this kind of rubber has excellent heat resistance, ozone resistance, oil resistance, and corrosion resistance of various chemicals after vulcanization. However, fluororubber is inferior to general rubber in processing and bonding, and the price is also relatively expensive. The maximum allowable operating temperature of the rubber pump made of fluoro rubber compound can reach 170 ℃ (in an ordinary medium).
Corundum ceramics (main component AI2O3): generally have extremely high hardness, good wear resistance and chemical stability, and high insulation and high melting point. In the pump industry, it is mainly used for ceramic pumps and mechanical seal rings under special working conditions. Apart from hydrofluoric acid, and some other substances containing fluorine and hot or concentrated alkaline solution, ceramics can resist almost all corrosive media, including hot concentrated nitric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, aqua regia, salt solution, organic solvent, etc.
Silicon nitride ceramics: the thermal shock resistance is better than alumina ceramics, and other properties are the same as alumina ceramics.
Silicon carbide ceramics: with excellent chemical corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength, good wear resistance, high-temperature resistance, good self-lubrication, low friction coefficient, and other characteristics, it can be used as high-temperature structural materials for mechanical seals of pumps, pump shafts of magnetic pumps, etc., which has more obvious advantages than ordinary ceramics.
At present, silicon carbide is an ideal friction pair material, which is combined with carbon graphite. Its dry sliding friction coefficient is smaller than that of alumina and cemented carbide, and its PV value is higher than that of alumina and cemented carbide. Silicon carbide ceramics have excellent wear resistance. Except for a few media such as hydrofluoric acid, they can resist the corrosion of almost all chemicals, including concentrated nitric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and other strong corrosive liquids.
Ferrite permanent magnet material: compared with metal permanent magnet material, it has the advantages of high coercivity, high insulation, good resistance to external magnetic field interference, and low price. It can be used as magnetic steel for the inner and outer rotors of the magnetic pump.
Rare earth cobalt permanent magnet materials: they have excellent magnetic properties, especially the coercivity and magnetic energy product, which are the highest among the existing permanent magnet materials. They are very suitable for permanent magnets on magnetic pumps, but they are not widely used because of their high price.
