The power supply voltage should be controlled within ±5% of the rated voltage, so that the motor can work normally. If the voltage is too low or too high, the motor cannot be used continuously, to avoid damage to the motor when it works under overvoltage or undervoltage for a long time.

 

When the submersible pump is submerged in the water, it should be hung vertically and not inclined. The depth of water entry is 5 meters below the moving water level. Submersible pumps must not transport water or mud with high sand content.

 

The actual head of the submersible pump should be used within 0.8-1.1 times the rated head to improve the efficiency of the unit, save energy, and avoid overloading the motor.

 

The deep well submersible pump motor wiring must be solidly connected to prevent the motor from burning due to lack of phase operation. The cable must be checked frequently for cracks, scratches, etc., and if any, be replaced or repaired in time.

 

If the oil-immersed motor has oil leakage, it should be repaired at the manufacturer or maintenance point in time, and the sealing element should be replaced. For flooded motors, the sand in the motor cavity should be cleaned frequently, and the clean water in the motor cavity should be replaced.

 

After the submersible pump has been running for half a year, it should be repaired and inspected, and the damaged parts should be replaced. After the submersible electric pump is used, the water immersed motor should be drained of clean water in the motor, the electric pump should be cleaned, oiled to prevent rust, and stored vertically in a dry place.

 

Common faults and solutions

 

✔️After the submersible pump is started, there is no water, little water or intermittent water

 

The reasons for the failure are: the overcurrent parts such as the filter screen, the impeller, the guide shell, the lifting pipe and other components are blocked, or the lifting pipe is broken. At this time, the reading of the ammeter often increases and the pointer swings violently, the unit and pipeline vibrate, etc. If the phenomenon occurs, the machine should be stopped for inspection and cleaning, and the water pump should be replaced if necessary;

 

✔️The unit is running normally, but the water output is low

 

The reason for the failure is that the overcurrent part is partially blocked, the matching is unreasonable, or the lift needs to exceed the rated lift of the pump too much. In this case, a pump with a higher lift needs to be replaced, or the impeller may be turned in the opposite direction. Any two phases can be exchanged. If the seal ring or impeller is excessively worn, the seal ring should be replaced in time, and the impeller should be repaired or replaced with a new one;

 

✔️The unit rotates normally, but no water

 

The reason for the failure is that the dynamic water level drops too much during the pumping process. You can close the gate valve on the small water pipe to reduce the water output, or lower the pump. If the lowering depth reaches or exceeds the specified use range of the pump, it is still unsatisfactory, indicating that the pump is not ideal. Improper selection, should be replaced by a pump with a smaller flow.
